Thermo-coagualtion & Thermo-cautery Treatment

Thermo-coagulation for: Thread Veins & Spider Veins (face & torso only not legs), Cherry Angiomas (red spots) & 

Vascular blemishes.

Radio frequency is emitted through an ultra-fine needle to coagulate vascular imperfections (thread veins etc).

The needle is inserted into the treatment area every 1-2 mm and a microwave current is delivered. The heat energy from the microwave current is absorbed by the vein, causing it to close. The vein is then absorbed by the body.

Thermo-cautery for: Skin Tags & Molluscum Pendulum, Seborrhoeic Keratosis (brown/black crusts), Pigment spots

(no bigger than 6 mm), Xanthelasma & Syringoma (fatty deposits), Warts, Myxoid Cysts & Milia.

The needle is placed on the treatment area and a microwave current is delivered. The heat energy from the microwave current destroys & dries up the lesion. The lesion then either drops off in a few days or in most cases is removed instantly.

It is normal to have a pinkish mark of residual healing left behind after the scabs have fallen off, this will fade over time. There are treatments that can speed up the healing – please enquire about these and I will advise you.

Numbing cream can be applied prior to treatment if required, a numbing cream patch test must be performed 48 hours or more prior to thermo treatment. Many clients are happy to have certain procedures without any pain relief depending on what is being treated.

You will feel a mixture of heat and pricking sensations during the procedure, post treatment it is normal to have redness, heat and minor swelling. Aftercare products are provided to keep the area sterile and protected.

Thermo Recommended Sessions

Most concerns are dealt with in one session. Multiple treatments may be required when treating large areas.

Maintenance is not required.

Is Thermo Safe?

Yes, this procedure if safe is all advice is followed pre- and post-procedure. Do not touch, scratch or pick at the area treated. Always let scabs/crusts fall off naturally. Picking will result in possible scarring and/or infection.

Infection is highly likely when using dirty make-up applicators or unwashed fingers to apply products whilst healing.
