How Does The Dual-Action Technology Work?
Deep Dermal Remodeling (Invasive RF): We begin with targeted RF Microneedling. Ultrafine, insulated needles safely penetrate the deeper layers of the dermis, delivering controlled radiofrequency heat directly to the foundations of your skin. This breaks down old, damaged tissue and triggers a powerful, long-term surge of new collagen and elastin production.
The Meso-Infusion Bridge: Immediately following the needling, while your skin’s micro-channels are wide open, we flood the tissue with a premium, sterile hyaluronic acid and peptide meso cocktail, these are customised for your skin concern. This allows high-potency active ingredients to penetrate deeply into the dermis where they can do the most work.
Epidermal Smoothing & Tightening (Non-Needle SRF): Next, we apply the Stratum surface handpiece over your skin using a specialized conductive gel. This needle-free pass concentrates thermal energy on the upper layers of the skin (the epidermis). These superficial micro-channels also allow topical gels, creams and serums to be absorbed more effectively into the skin. Specific treatment products can be selected to achieve accelerated results. Various meso cocktails are applied depending upon your needs: Hyaluronic serums for hydration, peptides for wrinkle reduction, lightening serums for pigmentation, vitamin C for strengthening and antioxidant boost and many more.
Younger skin that doesn’t yet require lifting and tightening can benefit from microneedling without the RF, where the focus is now more on refining pores, evening out texture and improving overall quality. Older clients with laxity concerns benefit from the dual effect of the microneedling with radiofrequency. As the machine offers many different needle depths and intensity settings for RF, treatments can be easily customised for every different skin and level of concern.

Most clients see an improvement 2 to 3 weeks after the first treatment. Results are natural and get better over time, peaking at 12 weeks following the final treatment.
RF microneedling treatments break down your old scar tissue caused by what I refer to as ‘rapid response to trauma’. When you have an injury, your body very cleverly knows what to do. With the initial injury, your body kicks into healing mode. Often, too much collagen is produced during this time, which is why you are left with white, raised (or sunken) scarring. RF microneedling breaks down the old scar tissue and stimulates a much gentler healing response, so healthy fresh collagen and elastin are produced.
Stratum RF Microneedling Recovery Time & Comfort Level
You can expect to feel warm-hot and look slightly flushed for a few hours following the treatment. The skin returns to normal by the next day with some clients experiencing a mild pink blotchiness on certain areas which dissipates in 24 hours, this depends on various factors such as the skin's sensitivity and the intensity of the treatment performed. Some clients experience a little dryness around 3 days after treatment, this can easily be mitigated by moisturising the skin more. Once the dryness has subsided your fresh skin is revealed and a general tightening and glow is evident.
The aftercare products provided ensures a calm and speedy recovery.
Numbing cream is not generally needed for this procedure.
Stratum RF Microneedling Recommended Sessions
Results can be seen after just one session. However, a minimum of 3 and up to 6 treatments, at 4-week intervals, deliver the best results, depending on the skin concern. Each treatment session takes between 30 – 60 minutes, dependent on the area being treated. For scarring, it may require 8 sessions to achieve results, this will be discussed in your consultation.
Is Stratum RF Microneedling Safe?
The treatment is not recommended if you have any of the following conditions: Pacemakers and/or electronic device implants. Metal implants in the treatment area. Heart conditions. Poorly controlled diabetes. Epilepsy. Bell’s palsy or other facial paralysis. Pregnancy. Cancer (radiation/chemotherapy). Keloid formation or keloid scarring.

What Does the Treatment Feel Like?
Unlike standard RF which glides smoothly, Dot Matrix SRF uses a "stamping" technique.
The Sensation: The handpiece is placed firmly onto a section of the skin, a brief pulse of energy is emitted, and it is then moved to the next spot. With each pulse, you will feel a short, deep, prickling heat sensation as the micro-currents engage the tissue.
