Ultra-fine needles penetrate the skin to different depths whilst simultaneously releasing radiofrequency (RF) energy to heat the skin in a controlled manner, stimulating a wound healing response leading to the production of new collagen and elastin.

These superficial micro-channels also allow topical gels, creams and serums to be absorbed more effectively into the skin. Specific treatment products can be selected to achieve accelerated results. Various meso cocktails are applied depending upon your needs: Hyaluronic serums for hydration, peptides for wrinkle reduction, lightening serums for pigmentation, vitamin C for strengthening and antioxidant boost and many more.

Younger skin that doesn’t yet require lifting and tightening can benefit from microneedling without the RF, where the focus is now more on refining pores, evening out texture and improving overall quality. Older clients with laxity concerns benefit from the dual effect of the microneedling with radiofrequency. As the machine offers many different needle depths and intensity settings for RF, treatments can be easily customised for every different skin and level of concern.

Most clients see an improvement 2 to 3 weeks after the first treatment. Results are natural and get better over time, peaking at 12 weeks following the final treatment.

RF microneedling treatments break down your old scar tissue caused by what I refer to as ‘rapid response to trauma’. When you have an injury, your body very cleverly knows what to do. With the initial injury, your body kicks into healing mode. Often, too much collagen is produced during this time, which is why you are left with white, raised (or sunken) scarring. RF microneedling breaks down the old scar tissue and stimulates a much gentler healing response, so healthy fresh collagen and elastin are produced.

You can expect to feel warm and look slightly flushed for a few hours following the treatment. The skin returns to normal by the next day with some clients experiencing a mild pink blotchiness on certain areas which dissipates in 24 hours, this depends on various factors such as the skin's sensitivity and the intensity of the treatment performed. Some clients experience a little dryness around 3 days after treatment, this can easily be mitigated by moisturising the skin more. Once the dryness has subsided your fresh skin is revealed and a general tightening and glow is evident.

The aftercare products provided ensures a calm and speedy recovery.

Numbing cream is not generally needed for this procedure.

Results can be seen after just one session. However, a minimum of 2 and up to 6 treatments, at 4-week intervals, deliver the best results, depending on the skin concern. Each treatment session takes between 30 – 60 minutes, dependent on the area being treated.

The treatment is not recommended if you have any of the following conditions: Pacemakers and/or electronic device implants. Metal implants in the treatment area. Heart conditions. Poorly controlled diabetes. Epilepsy. Bell’s palsy or other facial paralysis. Pregnancy. Cancer (radiation/chemotherapy). Keloid formation or keloid scarring.
